Pilot & Commercialisation
From Proof of Concept to National Scale
HAS is progressing from validated laboratory results toward a structured pilot programme — building the operational, commercial and regulatory foundations for a national solar recycling capability.
The Programme
A Structured Path to Commercial Operations
HAS is developing a staged commercialisation pathway — moving from pilot-scale operations through to a full commercial facility capable of processing significant volumes of end-of-life solar panels.
Each stage is designed to validate operational performance, demonstrate commercial viability, and build the partnerships and regulatory frameworks needed to operate at national scale.
The pilot programme is being developed in close collaboration with industry partners, government stakeholders and potential offtake customers — ensuring the commercial model is grounded in real market needs from day one.
Programme Stages
Milestones on the Path to Scale
Pilot Facility
2027Establish a pilot-scale processing facility to validate throughput, material recovery rates and operational parameters at meaningful volume. Confirm unit economics and refine the operational model.
Commercial Validation
2028+Demonstrate consistent commercial-grade output across recovered material streams. Secure offtake agreements with downstream buyers and establish quality assurance frameworks.
Full Commercial Facility
PlannedCommission a full-scale commercial facility capable of processing panels at national volume. Expand collection partnerships and logistics networks to serve installers and distributors across Australia.
Partners & Stakeholders
Built With Industry, Not Just For It
HAS is actively engaging with solar installers, panel distributors, asset owners and waste logistics providers to build collection and processing pathways that are practical and commercially viable.
We are also working with government agencies and industry bodies to ensure our operations align with emerging regulatory frameworks and contribute to Australia's circular economy policy objectives.
Solar Installers & Distributors
Providing clear, accessible end-of-life pathways that reduce the complexity and cost of responsible panel disposal.
Asset Owners & Operators
Supporting large-scale solar asset owners with compliant, cost-effective decommissioning and recycling solutions.
Government & Regulators
Engaging with state and federal agencies to align with emerging product stewardship and circular economy frameworks.
Investors & Capital Partners
Working with impact-aligned investors to fund the infrastructure and operational capacity needed to reach national scale.
Location
New South Wales
HAS is establishing its pilot operations in New South Wales — home to a large and growing installed solar base, strong logistics infrastructure, and a supportive policy environment for circular economy investment.
NSW provides the ideal foundation for a pilot programme that can demonstrate commercial viability and scale into a national operation.
